Blue Origin - TeraWave Laser Communications

As the first intern on Blue Origin's TeraWave inter-satellite laser communications constellation, I developed the program's first optical communications demo. My work centered on the pointing and tracking systems that keep a laser link locked between spacecraft, and I owned the BOM, procurement, and assembly for the testbed hardware. Being trusted with that scope early gave me real ownership over the outcome rather than just a piece of it. This internship taught me how fast good engineering can move when you advocate for your team and make existing systems serve you, not the other way around.
